U-Turn

I've wanted to blog for a while but there was always something else to do, someone to talk to, somewhere to go or some problems to fix. Finally it seems like the right time to blog about the past two weeks. I wonder why people blog actually? Is it for themselves; for a sense of importance, to stake claim of a small chunk of the world wide web? To show that they are worthy of being read by another, to announce exciting events or purely a product of boredom? I don't really know why I blog anymore, most likely cause' I'll forget all the wonderful and not-so-wonderful events in my life~ My blog allows me to hold onto memories that would otherwise be buried in the crevices of my mind. Oh... anyway I'm getting way off track right now.
What has happened over the past two weeks? Right now I'm having a massive mental blank. University life is in full swing and I'm feeling the heat. Before I forget to mention it:
Happy 5 months Kevin s2
has that much time passed already? Almost half a year with you =D
So last weekend I went on my ENVI2111 Field trip to the Warrah Field Station. I caught the train to Woy Woy from Strathfield which to my surprise, didn't take that long. Thanks to honey for seeing me off and helping me carry my bag =) Met some people at the station, a bunch of stranger which soon became team mates and room mates. I really couldn't be bothered giving a long and arduous recount so I shall outline the events of Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday:
- Arrived and dropped our bags, went straight into the bush
- 3pm-7:30pm we were surveying 10m x 10m quadrats // it was so tedious, scary cause of the leeches but oh so beautiful and the air was crisp!
- Dinner and washing up~
- Talk on mammal trapping and techniques
- Identifying plants up until midnight
- Slept at 2:30am, due to bonding with new friends haha
Sunday:
- Rise and shine around 7:30am
- Out the door at 8am to do bird surveys
-Collected our specimens from the day before
- Hiking up a ginormous hill~ but the view was worth it
- Home at 9ish or something~
The weekend was better than I had anticipated although I still felt like it was an impotrant weekend wasted~So after the Field trip I ws inevitably tired~ Monday I got to uni for 9am nutr lecture with kev and pri ^^~ then had micro tht day and tutor in the arvo. Yasmin is seriously lazy, although she is more than capable to do well in maths. tsk tsk ~ I just realised that sounds like a statement you see on your school report,,, noo i sound old~ Then yeah Monday night i had to do the phsi prac work flowchart things, and well generally phsi gets me in a bad mood. A real bad mood =S That mixed with my time of the month was a horrible experience on Tuesday. I was irrationally angry and upset come Tuesday. Probably a combination of sleep deprivation and phsi~ but yeah that was a mix of emotions I had never seen before. By the end of the day I was ok~ got home and collapsed on the living room floor and had a grand ol' nap~ My god it was such a good sleep =D
Lately there seems to have been more discussions, more tears, more unhappiness. But when times are happy, it is amazing there's an aura around us . It's a rollercoaster ride and I am starting to feel nauseous. Honestly, I'm sick of having these discussions and I don't want to deal with these issues anymore. One step forward, two steps back ~Oh I hate to dance this dance. I want everyday to be a happy day, through and through.
I feel like there's more left for me to say, but i guess I'll leave that for another blog. Time to go back to studying.
Have some photospam blogger~ Nature photos are on facebook =)
